Perhaps, the most popular lager among the German brewers. Made by bottom fermentation, it has a balanced clean palate with a slight malty flavor.
Weizen is the main beer brand in southern Bavaria. Its unique taste and multi-faceted flavor is the result of using large portions of wheat malt with special top fermentation yeasts. All this gives the beer its peculiar notes of fruit and clove.
Dunkel is a classical dark lager with a brown color and a malty flavor. The beer delivers slight bitterness and mild notes of caramel, chocolate, toast and nuts, with Gersten Rostmalz roasted malt giving it a distinctive dark color.
Kristall Hell belongs to the most notable filtered lagers. The beer owes its light, drinkable and refreshing taste to soft filtration which extracts only yeast cells, leaving the nutrients, smack and flavor intact.
The taste of this beer is dominated by the bitterness of noble German hops, which is sensed on the finish and in the aftertaste.
